Acting CEO Russell Anderson resigned from Council this week, serving his last day today.
Acting Mayor Greg Marlow said he was surprised by Mr Anderson’s announcement, however completely
understands his circumstances.
The Acting Mayor has nothing but praise for the local government veteran.
“In the seven months since Mr Anderson’s appointment, he has done an excellent job of stabilising Council,
rebuilding staff levels and reestablishing remote services to the bush,” he said.
A new CEO was appointed at the 31 August Special Meeting of Council.
It was planned for Mr Anderson to continue in the acting CEO position until the arrival of Ian Bodill on 6 November.
Now Chief Financial Officer Romeo Mutsago will take over the Acting CEO position until Mr Bodill arrives.
