Recently Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) Aged Care organised information sessions with Money Mob at seven Aged Care centres for staff, clients and carers.
The sessions were held in Atitjere, Ti Tree, Wilora, Willowra, Laramba, Yuelamu and Lajamanu, and provided valuable knowledge on various financial topics such as banking, financial advice and setting financial goals.
Money Mob provides practical financial literacy training to Indigenous people and is specifically intended to support individuals to gain confidence and competence in essential financial life skills.
“The training provided was a great success, and we received positive feedback from all attendees,” said Patchouli Cross, Senior Coordinator – East Aged Care.
